I want to watch a good guy movie just like “I hope they serve beer in hell” Something kinda like that with some nudity and foul language.. Nothing mainstream just a very good unheard of movie.

Is Your Life More Like A Drama, Comedy, Sci-fi Or Straight To Dvd Movie?

Hello all
I am writing a script for a comedy movie. Being British I am influenced by such hits as Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Mr Bean, Borat, Jim Carrey Movies although not too keen on his recent comedy “the number 23″ he’s a killer in that one.
I am young and have no movie connections and my script is based on a nasty quick witted character who moves to LA. Their is a story and plot and some great gags but I am very secretive about it at the moment. What do you think the chances are of be being able to get this into production and star in it? It will be low budget for example like Borat filmed for Peanuts.
Another idea I have is to write it go to the NYFA and make friends and have a team of us film it for an independant budget and sell it to Hollywood for a percentage for distribution? I need a detailed answer on this please
